Nwabisa Siyongwana-Makumule

Managing Director
Nwabisa graduated from the Cape Peninsula University of Technology with a National Diploma in Public Relations Management. As her studies were funded by the City of Cape Town, she immediately joined the city’s Marketing and Events department as Public Relations trainee and was later employed as the marketing coordinator. During these early stages of her career, Nwabisa worked on a number of events such as the Cape Town International Jazz Festival and other mayoral events.
Nwabisa went on to grow her work experience by taking up the role of Communications Manager for the Women on Farms Project, an NGO advocating for women working on farms. Her love for events led her to Red Hot Events, a reputable events management company where she worked on various events such as music festivals as well as exclusive corporate and private events. In 2008, Nwabisa relocated to Johannesburg and explored the hospitality industry by joining the sales teams of The Birchwood Hotel &
O R Tambo Conference Centre and Protea Hotels Group.  She served six years at the Manufacturing, Engineering and Related Services SETA (merSETA) where her responsibilities included but not limited to social media, events, sponsorship and brand management.
From the Vaal University of Technology, Nwabisa has a Bachelor of Technology degree in Public Relations focussing on Reputation Management . She also has qualifications in Project Management from Wits University and Graphic Design from the AAA School of Advertising. Nwabisa is an event MC and speaker who appreciates motivational topics related to reputation management, customer service, youth and women empowerment.
