Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Lumamu Events website (lumamu.co.za) or engaging our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our website or services. These terms apply to all visitors, clients, and others who access or use our services.

Services

Lumamu Events provides corporate event management, fundraising event strategy, stakeholder relations and partnership development, event venue sourcing, and event branding and corporate gifting services. The specific scope, deliverables, timelines, and fees for any engagement will be set out in a separate written agreement or proposal between Lumamu and the client.

Intellectual Property

All content on this website, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, images, and event concepts developed by Lumamu, is the intellectual property of Lumamu Events and is protected under applicable South African copyright law. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use any content without prior written consent from Lumamu.

Client Responsibilities

Clients engaging Lumamu's services are responsible for providing accurate and complete information required for event planning, making timely decisions and approvals as required by agreed timelines, ensuring all necessary permissions and licences for their event are obtained, and settling invoices within the agreed payment terms.

Payment Terms

Payment terms are specified in each individual proposal or service agreement. Unless otherwise agreed in writing, a deposit is required to confirm any booking. All prices are quoted in South African Rand (ZAR) and are subject to VAT at the current rate of 15%. Late payments may attract interest charges as specified in the service agreement.

Cancellation & Refunds

Cancellation terms are governed by the specific service agreement entered into between Lumamu and the client. In general, cancellations made within 30 days of an event may result in forfeiture of the deposit. Lumamu reserves the right to recover costs already incurred on behalf of the client at the time of cancellation.

Limitation of Liability

Lumamu Events will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our services or website. Our total liability in connection with any service shall not exceed the total fees paid by the client for that specific engagement. Lumamu is not liable for circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including force majeure events.

Confidentiality

Both parties agree to keep confidential any proprietary or sensitive information shared during the course of an engagement. Lumamu will not disclose client information to third parties without prior written consent, except where required by law or necessary to deliver the agreed services.

Website Use

You agree to use this website only for lawful purposes and in a manner that does not infringe the rights of others. You must not attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the website, transmit harmful or malicious content, or use the website in any way that could damage or impair its functionality.

Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of our services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the South African courts.

Lumamu reserves the right to update these Terms of Service at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Your continued use of our website or services after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.
